Description

Timing 14’10” — Composed in three movements, an advanced work that combines rhythmic and structural intensity in the outer movements and tranquility in the middle movement. The ‘cellular’ construction of the first movement contrasts with the clarity of phrase structure of the last two. The last movement contains more thematic drama with longer and soaring lines and an extended multi-meter section. A final ‘maestoso’ precedes the bold fast tempo-one with unified ending. The three movements are performed with only a slight break between them and are titled as follows:
